Coronavirus (COVID-19) Vaccination Information
Seika Town is currently making preparations to distribute the coronavirus vaccine through group vaccination and other methods following the standard vaccination schedule established by the Government of Japan. Seika residents aged 65 years or older will be the first group of people eligible for vaccination.
Vaccines produced by Pfizer will be used in vaccinations.
Vaccination is free for all residents.
Number of Doses
2 doses administered per person. Second dose to be administered three weeks after first dose.
The number of vaccines allotted to each municipality is limited and will continue to be for the foreseeable future. For this reason, Seika Town plans to distrubute vaccines sequentially, following an order of priority determined by the Government of Japan as detailed below.
- Health care professionals
- Senior citizens aged 65 and older (persons born before 1957 April 1 who will become 65 years of age or older between 2021 April 1 and 2022 March 31)
- Persons other than senior citizens with primary diseases and senior citizen care home professionals
- Persons who do not fall into the above groups
Adjustments are being made with local schools to use campus buildings as vaccination locations.
